Medicine Program

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at the Medical University of Silesia, delivered in collaboration with MedPathway, offers a dynamic and internationally oriented pathway for students pursuing a career in medicine. This program is thoughtfully designed to combine strong academic foundations in Europe with immersive clinical experience in the United States.

Students begin their training in Poland, where the first three years are dedicated to building a deep understanding of the core medical sciences. This phase establishes the essential knowledge required to think critically, analyze clinical problems, and understand the scientific basis of medicine.

The final three years transition into clinical education, where students participate in rotations at affiliated hospitals in the United States through MedPathway. During this time, students actively engage in patient care, learn within multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and gain firsthand experience in a modern clinical setting.

The program is completed over 12 semesters.

The curriculum incorporates contemporary teaching strategies, including case-based discussions, simulation training, and interactive learning, ensuring that students are well-prepared for both examinations and real-world clinical responsibilities.

A Distinct Advantage: Silesia + MedPathway

This program stands out by offering students a dual experience—European medical education combined with U.S. clinical exposure. The partnership with MedPathway allows students to transition seamlessly into the American healthcare system during their clinical years, providing valuable insight and preparation for residency training in the United States.
