How long is the application process?

We will review your documents upon obtaining your completed application, the required documents as per the checklist and the application processing fee. If all submitted documents are approved, the trainee will be informed by email of his/her acceptance and will be sent an invoice for the clerkship or externship. Once that invoice has been paid, the trainee will be informed of the start date and hospital.

What are the requirements for getting into Clerkships or Clinical Rotations?

What are the requirements for getting into the Externship program?

1) Must be attending or have graduated from a World Health Organization (WHO) and International Medical Education Directory (IMED) recognized Medical Program.

2) Must have completed medical rotations in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Psychiatry.

How soon before my intended rotation start date should I apply to MedPathway?

One should apply 60-90 days ahead of the intended start date to attain your visa if necessary and to secure the clerkship or externship.

What are the fees involved?

There is a one-time application fee of $199 USD.

Training site fee varies from $500 – $1100 per week based on the site. We schedule in 4 week blocks only and will bill candidates in 4 week blocks.

*Clinical campuses will be paid prior to start of clerkship/externship to confirrm start date.

When is the tuition due?

The one-time non-refundable application fee is due at the time of applying.

To reserve your spot with MedPathway, Tuition is due in full upon approval of all documents submitted and approval of the clerkship or externship four weeks prior to the start date. Applicants will be informed by email when approved.

There will be no refunds of any fees paid within this period or beyond

What about housing?

We have very limited housing opportunites offered to approved applicants.

Do you provide visa support letters for US Homeland Security?

Yes, for students doing clerkships consistent with United Stated Department of State (FAM 41.31). A letter verifying the rotation will be transmitted to the applicant upon completion of eligbility requirements. MedPathway and its affiliates or its agents do not issue a Visa to enter the United States.

Can I get credit for the clerkship with my medical school once I have completed the course?

This varies from school to school. However, we will work with your medical school to ensure you obtain the best experience to acquire credit for what was completed. An evaluation can be completed by the preceptor, signed by the program director and submitted to the medical school upon request from the medical school.

Can I obtain a Letter of Recommendation (L.O.R.) upon completion of my training?

Yes, this is possible. However, this would be at the discretion of the preceptor. Typically this is based solely on your performance and whether you have met all the objectives during your tenure with the preceptor. Preceptors are aware that most trainees are seeking an L.O.R. upon completion.

How long is the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program?

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is a total of 3 YEARS.

There are 2 semesters each year. The 3 year program is a total of 6 semesters.

When do classes start this year for 1st year students?

Classes for 1st year students start the first week of October for the Fall enrollment and February for the Spring enrollment.

Can we apply right after High School?

Yes, you may apply upon graduating from High School.

All candidates must at minimum have completed BIOLOGY plus either Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics during high school.

Upon graduation, can we practice nursing anywhere in the world?

The 3-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program offered at the Medical University of Lublin is widely accepted across the globe.

Graduates would need to meet the licensing requirements in the country where one chooses to practice.

For example, in the United States one must pass the the NCLEX examination to obtain licensure and practice as a registered nurse (RN). In the UK, one must pass the NMC UK examination which is used to see if a nurse or midwife candidate is qualified to work as a health care professional in the United Kingdom.

It is the responsibility of all candidates to ensure that the education earned is suitable in the country in which one would like to practice in.

How easy is it to get licensed in my home country?

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program from the Medical University of Lublin are currently practicing all over the world especially in the United States and Canada.

In fact, the Medical University of Lublin has had high school graduates from all across the globe especially from the United States and Canada who have graduated from its MD (Medicine) program. Hundreds of Physicians are successfully practicing in the United States, Canada and other countries around the world.

Nursing students upon graduation would need to meet the licensing requirements such as passing the licensing exams in the country where one chooses to practice.

For example, Nursing graduates from the Medical University of Lublin are allowed to take the NCLEX licensure examination in the United States being that the Medical University and the programs offered are accredited by the Ministry of Health and Education in Poland.  One must pass the the NCLEX examination to obtain licensure and practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the United States. What are the costs involved for the 3-year Nursing Program?

Tuition for the 3-year Nursing program has been designed in a way to make it affordable for anyone from anywhere in the world, especially as we need more healthcare professionals to be in the frontline to help those who are in need.

The one-time application fee is $100 US Dollars.

The tuition per semester is 2550 Euros. There are a total of 6 semesters. Therefore the grand total for 3 years is 15,300 Euros (2550 Euros x 6 Semesters).

Do I need to take an entrance exam or an interview?

Each candidate must take part in the entrance interview and a qualification test:

The entrance interview consists of questions divided into the categories listed below:

The qualification test consists of 20 multiple choice questions from Life & Mathematical Sciences Terminology.
